One of the original female DJs in the UK . As a pioneering UK house DJ and producer whose career spans over three decades. Angel began her journey in 1991 after teaching herself to mix, leading to a breakthrough performance at Nottingham's legendary Venus club. Throughout the 1990s, she became a prominent figure in the UK house scene, headlining renowned clubs such as, Ministry of Sound, Shindig, Lakota, Hacienda… on line-ups with house legends like Frankie Knuckles, Tony Humphries...

Angel has been producing music since 1993, under different guises. Nowadays she produces as Angel Johnson and releases tunes on labels like Nervous Records, Let There Be House, In It Together... among others, as well as releases on her own label Ocata Records.

Angel Johnson's contributions have been instrumental in breaking gender stereotypes in the electronic music industry, establishing her as a respected figure in the global house music scene. Angel has earned a reputation for being a DJ that delivers. With a career in music which has spanned over thirty years, Angel is still going strong!

Producer and Label owner at Ocata Records as well as promoter of her own night Our House in El Masnou which she started just last year.
